A Child's Strength

My children amaze me on a daily basis. Sometimes with their knowledge. Sometimes when they pick up on things that I'd never have even thought about. Sometimes by their sheer silliness. Often times by their kindness and compassion for others. It's amazing in a world full of hate, crime and prejudices that our youth can be aware of what's going on around them yet still remain untainted.

Today my children had to say good-bye to their grandfather as he slipped away to be with our Lord. And yet.. again.. they completely AMAZED me! So loving and patient as they stood by his side.. yet STRONG!

I am, without a doubt, the luckiest person alive to be able to be their mom.

I just felt the need to share this. Thank you.

You do have wonderful children and you are very lucky to have them in your life. However, don't forget how lucky they are to have such an amazing mother in their life. You have such a big giving heart. You are caring and the amount of compassion and kindness you show toward others is truly breathtaking. If you ever wonder where your children get their traits from just look in the mirror at your beautiful face. I love you!!!!

Isn't it a great feeling to say I'm so privileged to be your parent. Children are incredible. Then someone who has never met you says Sarah "Your Children are a reflection of you" I think your a great person doing a fabulous job with your kids. Good Job Mom

once again sarah, i envy what you have. I would literally give up everything in my life (well almost everything) to be able to experience that kind of love you have for your kids and from your kids.

they will grow up to be amazing adults and will make you an even more proud mommy!

Watched my oldest daughter go through 10+ years of Chemo and other treatments, she was stronger then me durring that time and is a typical teen now

All my prayers and thoughts with you and your family. Kids really are amazing... thanks for reminding us how we once were there and we can all take in that purity and innocence again.

Sarah,

Your children are a direct reflection of their role model. You have always made them first in your life and they carry those morals and values with them everday. My kids lost their pau pau, Greek for Grandfather. The Orthodox church makes requirements for buriel. My kids were the strongest when they were at their weakest. Your kids have the greatest role model. Not only should you be proud of them, you should be proud of yourself.

I was driving from Portland to Seattle and my daughter told me she had to go potty and I asked "Can you hold it?" and she said "Daddy I don't hold pee, that's gross"

She's 2.
