Hmm.. I don't know. I've never dated someone with kids before. Oh wait.. Yeah I have.. LOL. Since we didn't bring the kids into the mix, it was fine - although we had different parenting schedules so that really limited the time we were able to see each other.

Yours, Mine and Ours Seriously I have seen it work very well with several couples. They did exactly this your kids your rules, my kids my rules if they were living together, they compromised and set rules for all. The thing about kids is they grow up, get a life and leave or at least thats the dream of the parents. They still need you, but they don't consume your life don't let kids get in the way of a relationship with someone you really care for. If you do you will be sitting home alone waiting for your kids to call instead of living your life with someome you enjoy.

Bump...

Currently in a relationship with someone who has kids. 4 kids between the two of us. So far it's not "Hard"... I think it's more about finding the right blend/schedule...

Still a learning experience..

I just have "his" kids. I ask first if I can share a view- rather than just giving it. And I also understand that at their ages (12 and 14), I'm really in no position to come in and "parent", or try to change how he parents. I've had to zip my lip a few times. I have "discussions" with the boys if I feel I have been a bit defied- but I never get angry with them. We just all talk a lot.
