cityxslicker 07-29-2009 06:36 PM

Ok out, chasing the sunset. have fun amongst yourselves

cityxslicker 07-29-2009 11:14 PM

Apparently I am a post whore.... though I have never charged for it, I suppose it is more accurate that I am a post slut.

So this will be your one source stop for blatherings, bickerings, complaints and general grumpiness and all that is Cityxslicker
(really with 20 of us on the site, everybody is eventually in everybody else's koolaide anyways)

So to start:
"I would rather sit on a pumpkin, and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion" Henry David Thoreau.

Vigilante 07-30-2009 06:46 AM

I have a friend that is obsessed with "hi fives"... I had to limit him to only 10 per day. But that was different I guess.

Snipets from the Eagles

The things that are pleasin you can hurt you somehow.
It seems to me some fine things have been laid upon your table,
But you only want the ones you can't get.
Freedom, oh freedom, well that's just some people talkin.
Your prison is walking through this world all alone.

cityxslicker 07-31-2009 11:00 AM

I need a girl like my truck
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...cker/truck.jpg
Low mileage, handles the years well, not afraid to get dirty, pulls her weight, not high maintence, not kid friendly, doesnt smoke, no excess baggage, not a flashy bling pageant winner, and most of all, parked where I left it last night, and I am the only one gets to drive.

Mikercw 07-31-2009 11:56 AM

^

And ugly?

cityxslicker 07-31-2009 01:09 PM

more like the girl next door, or is average the new ugly ?

Mikercw 07-31-2009 01:14 PM

um.... A dented, brown, faded, ford Ranger ( or mazda...something in that era)
Would kinda be far from the "Girl Next Door" Or "Average".....
Well let me restate that... In Bremerton.... Maybe

Vigilante 07-31-2009 01:50 PM

Ranger for sure... my buddy had one and I couldn't fit in it- it was very very small inside... so I guess you could add "tight" to the list o' qualities?
That's a good thing!

I'm not here to bash your truck citysucker... but I bet your chances with chics would increase with more time on your HD and the less time in that cartruck. This thread just got funnier to me.

Mikercw 07-31-2009 03:11 PM

Dirty Tight??? hmmm No I wouldn't add that quality!
And I am here to bash his cartruck... But I agree with Vigilante about the HD to cartruck ratio to get girls

cityxslicker 07-31-2009 04:37 PM

Glad to add to your entertainment. Nothing here if not to make some body laugh,.. or somebody upset; depends on my mood.

.... Everybody wants to disparage the truck... get a new one... you gotta have CD/DVD/GPS/Bluetooth, Power steering, Automatic Transmission, Electric windows, Something thats not older than when you went to highschool.... Really? I would rather have the 25 year old paid for Ranger and a garage full of bikes, than a new Hummer that I am maxed out on. So really let me see if I follow. I would be better served if I rolled a SUV with dubs to get my 'game' on? Really? Why would I date somebody that is impressed by my car, whether its the Ranger or a Hummer?

cityxslicker 08-01-2009 09:40 AM

Got the Buell back today, so look for alot less grumpiness, though I will be probably ramping up on my indifference and toning down my tact.
Back to staying out late, camping over nite, not coming back for days on end and running dirty off road.

And now for your moment of Xslicker:.... There are few things that can not be solved by large doses of firepower, horsepower, money or distance. Everything else is just jaw jacking backround noise.

cityxslicker 08-02-2009 09:48 AM

Locked and loaded off to the woods.

I want a girl with a mind like a diamond
I want a girl who knows whats best
I want a girl with shoes that cut
And eyes that burn like cigarettes
I want a girl with the right allocation
Whos fast, and thorough, and sharp as a tack
I want a girl who gets up early
I want a girl who stays up late
I want a girl with uninterrupted prosperity
Who uses a machetti to cut through red tape
With fingernails that shine like justice
And a voice that is dark like tinted glass
I want a girl with a smooth liquidation
I want a girl with good dividends
Shes changing her name from kitty to karen
Shes trading her ring for a white chrysler le barron
I want a girl with a short skirt,
And a Long Attention Span.

Its Cake, its Pies illegitimate cousin

cityxslicker 08-03-2009 03:07 PM

Sore and sunburnt. A bit more perspective about the whole thing.
I am going to enjoy the winter off travelling and forget all about 'the game'.

cityxslicker 08-07-2009 02:40 PM

Rollin to puddin fest 09. :super: Chocolate ftw

cityxslicker 08-12-2009 01:11 AM

All was good in the puud . Too much damn fun. I am hoarse from cheering, sore from camping, dirty from the pudding, and my cheeks hurt from laughing too much..... every weekend should be like that.

MrsD 08-12-2009 04:30 AM

^^^if every weekend were like that they would eventually become boring and not so amusing. Thats why the really good ones only come around once in a while to make us appreciate how much fun you can have with...chocolate pudding. I bet it was fun I looked at the pictures and for some reason all I could think of was 1. did they get hosed down afterwards 2. Six still had pudding in her ears 3. Bees:scared::crackup:

Vigilante 08-12-2009 06:55 AM

^^^
1. Yes (might have been the best part)
2. Maybe... but she didn't mention it to me
3. None! not sure why?

And I agree, it's good to have good/bad weekends so we know when we have it good!

SiX 08-12-2009 09:05 AM

Yes, we got hosed down afterwards and the water was cold.
I spent some time getting the pudding out of my ears on Sunday, all better now. :)
Bees? No, but the freakin Rooster in the morning needed to DIE!!!!

Vigilante makes a great backrest btw. Thanks! Oh, and that 21 year old kid still managed to follow me back to my tent. I was kinda rude and got rid of him.

Prolly better you than me.

Question is, what did you do with him before you got rid of him from your tent??? :super:

:ninja:

Just kidding, he never made it in the tent. Worst part is that he's a local up there and will probably be around for the Chic Rider's Rally. Might invest in a taser, I dislike people who can't take a hint and maybe that would make my point clear. Could be entertaining.

Vigilante 08-12-2009 11:42 AM

*snicker

He seemed pretty harmless...

but get video of him getting "tasered" regardless!

That was one of the funniest things I had seen in a while.  I see it got written up in the paper by a riding friend of mine that was there. (I noticed he didn't put any pics in the article, but I did get an honorable mention tho!)

SiX 08-12-2009 12:39 PM

Harmless, yeah. But a little annoying. :squint: I'm sorry but at 21 you can't have the skills you're claiming to have.

And let's hear it for Puddin Fite 2010! :super:

Vigilante 08-12-2009 03:27 PM

^^ I wasn't listening to him, so what skillz was he a claimin'?

Just curious in case I ever see him again I can give him a hard time.

Then you can taser him... etc.

cityxslicker 08-12-2009 04:31 PM

I do love moto island, it is becoming my favorite escape. I will be there at the end of the month when I roll through town for a dual sport rally..... The Buell will be FILTHY .

We now return you to your regularly scheduled grump o'rama. :tard:

cityxslicker 08-14-2009 06:09 PM

I dont care, I dont care, I dont care, I dont care, I dont care, I dont care,

DONE Signed up for Grad school. Done playing the game except for errant buckle bunnies.

Vigilante 08-15-2009 05:59 AM

just don't fall for any of those buckle bunnies while you are playin' with them... they are always lookin' for the next bigger better deal. Trust me.

Effortless, sure, but I bet you will get bored in no time... at least I did, then it was time to put that effort towards something real and could last more than 2 weeks. They are almost a waste of time until they grow out of it.

One of my college mottos;
If I worked as hard at studying as I did on figuring out ways to cheat, I wouldn't have had to cheat.

cityxslicker 08-15-2009 01:43 PM

Its been 20 years since I was in school. Never really did anything with the Bachelors. Russian Language, Soviet economics..... (damn communists couldnt keep the wall up long enough for me to graduate)

So gonna go spend 2-3 years getting a Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance with the dreaded MBA. whoopdee doo :super:

And the never ending stream of buffet that college is will be fiine, I aint getting married, I aint having kids, might as well put the revolving door up.

Skillz of the bedroom variety. Didn't believe him, wasn't going to find out if he was telling the truth.

w00t. Thanks, but I still gotta gradumatel first.

cityxslicker 08-18-2009 08:56 AM

and now for your Bob Seger Breakfast moments

Cause I was born lonely down by the riverside
Learned to spin fortune wheels, and throw dice
And I was just thirteen when I had to leave home
Knew I couldn't stick around, I had to roam
Ain't good looking, but you know I ain't shy
Ain't afraid to look a girl, right in the eye
So if you need some lovin, and you need it right away
Take a little time out, and maybe I'll stay

But I got to ramble (ramblin' man)
Oh I got to gamble (gamblin' man)
Got to got to ramble (ramblin' man)
I was born a ramblin' gamblin' man

.... Women have come, women have gone, some were so sweet, I barely got free, others they only enrage me.....

.... I wanna dream like a young man, with the wisdom of an old man, I want my home and security, I wanna live like a sailor at sea; beautiful loser, when you gonna fall?... When you realize, you just cant have it all.

cityxslicker 08-28-2009 12:48 PM

I have zero tolerance for those that are 'just' looking.
Suck it up, get a back bone, discover the wonderful world of making a decision. If you wanna go for a test ride, fine, just dont be upset when i let everyone else ride it too cuz you havent penned your name on it.

SiX 08-29-2009 09:14 PM

That sucks and applies to more than bikes.

cityxslicker 09-13-2009 12:02 AM

I was going for the double entandre ;)

New batch of drunk and grumpy cuz the bike is down for repairs.

Vigilante 09-18-2009 03:59 PM

I heard you ran some bearings out of your mud muhchine... what happened big B?

cityxslicker 09-25-2009 01:44 PM

The bike is down for repairs. I ran Devils Gultch on it, from the Applets and Cotlets to the backside of Mission Ridge. Good fun. I apparently paid for it with a set of axle bearings, new belt, axle shim, and of a new axle. I really need a dedicated dual sport bike.

Vigilante 09-28-2009 07:18 AM

It's a good time to buy one since many folks are looking to unload their bike and pick up a sled for winter.

GL with that.

cityxslicker 11-04-2009 11:55 AM

still without bike, exceedingly grumpy. Luckily I went target practicing this last weekend, shot through a flat o shot gun shells.

Vigilante 11-05-2009 06:57 AM

^^ What's the holdup? Tell her to Git 'r Done!

cityxslicker 11-09-2009 09:44 PM

Parts. Buell went out of business two weeks ago.... and apparently 8 weeks ago the slowed production down on spares..... so waiting on parts. Damnit. I have officially been with out the bike 5 months this year.

I gotta get a more reliable durable lighter dirt dedicated bike.

Vigilante 11-10-2009 06:59 AM

^^ Sux. I agree with you that I need at least one bike for every occasion. Full Dirt, Enduro street/dirt, street bike, track bike... etc. etc.

I would think that someone online would have those bearings... I was without my SuperHawk for like 2 months and was going nuts, so I bought an SV1000s.

cityxslicker 12-06-2009 11:36 AM

still waiting.... damn its almost winter. Damn Buell for shutting down. Damn them to Hell

Vigilante 12-08-2009 07:25 AM

I hear rumors that they are still going to be active in the Buell Racing department though, but no news yet on the street machines.

cityxslicker 12-15-2009 11:43 PM

so they say, they are selling off the last round of them nationally.... then its all race bikes and non street legal.
Pity they never came out with that 450 single thumper.

cityxslicker 12-16-2009 09:52 PM

now that everyone is caught up, we now return you to your regularly scheduled banter... stay tuned for your next installment of Grumpy Curmudgen Theatre

Never let it be said that I was a ray of sunshine.

MrsD 12-17-2009 02:39 AM

Grumpy Curmudgen Theatre :mfclap::crackup:

cityxslicker 12-19-2009 10:36 PM

You will all excuse me for the rant I pulled in the other thread.
I do have a some shots in me.
Yes I am pizzed
No, I wont take it down

Looks like theater is open for a late curtain call. Enjoy the show.

cityxslicker 01-03-2010 08:27 AM

What a fun change of events. It is absolutely amazing what a month with someone half your age will do for your attitude.... pity she flies out this week. My new years resolution is to have more of that , the all you can eat buffet ..... nom, nom, nom.
