I'm working on my plumbing- yes, real plumbing that water runz through. Cleaning my casa and enjoying good jazz.

Today I've spent much time reflecting on the importance of loving myself, before I can truly share it with someone else. I've reflected on a marriage that ended 4 years ago, someone who I trully loved, and realize that this relationship must really not be closed because I still cry. Eh, life. Crazy little thing it is. I must be doing okay with it tho- its almost 3pm and I haven't drank a drop, and I will end this day sober. I call that progress.

Happy Valentines back at you with Love. Sounds like your on the right track. We went to breakfast came home. Hubby smoked up some chicken and pork tenderloin all was going well. Then bam ended up in the ER with both grand kids fevers strep and ear infections then trying to find a pharmacy open on sunday night what a joke. Just got home so I to have not had even a glass of wine. But all is well now and I have to be up at 4 so good night to all and Happy Valentines Day.

Heard someone last night call Valentines Day a holiday and I about lost it on my rant. I hate V-day and have had an anti-Vday celebration every year for the past 4 years.

I don't know, it seems we have the same idea though. Why should there be just one special day for the SO in your life? Answer, there shouldn't! If your SO matters that much to you then you will want to treat them like they're special as much as possible not just because some corperate card company says you should.

Thanks RC although I'm days late...sounds like you had a good time and spent it doing some reflective thinking..something we should all do more.
I got one Valentine and a Happy V day twice no less...all in all a quite day

just read thru everyone's posts. Bottom line, we all trudged/celebrated thru that day. Eh, I make any cards I see fit, so halmark doesnt see a dime. You know, I'm doing pretty fantastic. I think I loved my place up north, but it was soooo quiet, and I was in a house that just reaped emptiness. Moving into town, being closer to a social network was good. I've been feeling great about work, about me, about men and about my own personal gains I need to focus on. If the right person does not fit into that category, I haven't wasted my time. I've actually kinda stood up and taken a bit more pride in my self. (oh gawd, this is almost mushy)...well blah blah blah. I'm good. thats all. haha

I don't celebrate Valentines Day.
* If you're single, you're a loser.
* If you're not single, there are too many fake expectations.
We shouldn't need a false holiday to tell the people in their life that they're loved.

That said:
I met someone amazing in New Orleans on Valentines Day.

Not taking advantage of. I probably could have, but it's not my way.

One or two less drinks and the evening would have turned out quite differently ;). And neither she nor I actually observe V-Day, but it was also during Mardi Gras, which we both DO celebrate.

I swear the american culture just goes on commerce from one 'holiday' to the next. poor august has nothing so they have to make it 'back to school month' (June gets the hang over from Memorial day)

I dont eat it that often..... just this week, and the week AFTER halloween.
the cool thing is that even the boxes that arent all tart hearted up are on sale too, that shiate you can give any time of year !
So into the freezerbag it goes and into the deep freeze. (chocolate wont keep indefinately !

the only thing better is full service at a mexican bar on St Patricks day, and the reverse ownership of the Irish pub on Cinqo D Mayo.

If its popular, and in trend, you will rarely find me there.

I am a bit anti social and agrophobic - it seems to be alot of random stupidity and violence occurs in big crowds, exponentially more so if alcohol is involved.
Favorite time to visit sturgis ? June
Disney land ? October
best day to fly? Thanksgiving day
best time to ride a motorcycle ? during the superbowl
best time to go to the bank ? Never the 1 st or the 15 th !
favorite work schedule ? weds- sunday only occasionally bothered when ya'll are off becaus of a 'monday' holiday.
