poems

Have you ever written a poem for someone you were in a relationship with? Or been on the receiving end?

What was the occasion?

How did it make you feel after you gave/received it?

If you feel inclined, please share the poem with us.

Oh Wow! I'll have to go dig up my memory box. My H.S. Sweetheart used to draw me pictures and write me poems all the time.. That would be a nice stroll down memory lane...

Never wrote a poem for anyone but I used to compose songs for my oldest daughter when she was a baby.. never wrote any of it down though. :(

I wrote a computer program to play a song Groovy kind of love by Phil Collins back in Junior high, lol. I was such a nerd but a hopeless romantic. I gave it to a classmate that I had a crush on. Boy she blushed so bad.
I played it on her computer in the computer lab and max out the volume.
We were too young to be boyfriend and girlfriend, so it was just a junior high crush. She agreed to sit next to me for the rest of semester. At that age in Indonesia, that's like score!! Over there, we sat 2 by 2 instead of 1 by 1 like schools over here. Too bad she went to all girls highschool, or I would've been her boyfriend fo sho in highschool.

Here's the full lyrics:

When I'm feeling blue
All I have to do
Is take a look at you
Then I'm not so blue
When you're close to me
I can feel you heart beat
I can hear you breathing
In my ear
Wouldn't you agree?
Baby, you and me got a groovy kind of love

Any time you want to
You can turn me on to
Anything you want to
Any time at all
When I kiss your lips
Ooh, I start to shiver
Can't control the quivering inside
Wouldn't you agree?
Baby, you and me got a groovy kind of love

Ooh

When I'm feeling blue
All I have to do
Is take a look at you
Then I'm not so blue
When I'm in your arms
Nothing seems to matter
My whole world can shatter
I don't care
Wouldn't you agree?
Baby, you and me got a groovy kind of love

We got a groovy kind of love
We got a groovy kind of love
Ooh, ooh
We got a groovy kind of love

I used to be way into writing. I've got a whole book full of poems that I've written. Some dark, some floofy and lovey, some in between and all around. It's how I communicated; however, I'm very shy to let anyone read/hear them so I sucked at communication.

One Valentine's day, though, I made a homemade card and slipped a few of my poems into it, just to let my then-boyfriend into my thoughts a bit. He giggled at a few that I felt were very serious. I've never showed them to anyone since.

I've written a few here and there, but nothing like what I used to. I decided talking was more effective as a communication, but I still have a love of language and I like to write.

I started writing poetry when I was about 15, so many many of the girls I dated received poems, I will have to post some of my poetry when I get home. I have had a few things published, and I am currently working on my first full book to send to the publisher.

I've got a lot of poetry of all different kinds. Some more romantic, some just silly and some just ... poetic. Haha.

This is not one of my own, but it's one of my favorites. It was written by the poet Rumi some 800 years ago and this is a translation, but it tells a lot about my frame of mind when I first read it and why it stuck with me...

I have lived
On the lip of
Insanity, wanting to
know reasons, knocking
On a door.

It opens.

I've been knocking from the inside.

I have a few I will share with you all. I love to write Poems did alot when I was younger. Did one for my Brother well it was for his wife to give to my brother...that was weird but it was a good one.

Here is one It just came to me they normaly just overwhelm me and I just blah blah blah out in a blog!

Today is a new day a start of a new week. I wear my mask to hide from those who wish not to peek. But if you seek and are willing to peek spend some time to find me in the deep. I stay behind the eyes you seek just for you to please take a peek.

If you care to stare into my eyes you will see a woman of a grand sunrise! I can glow and warm like the sun and cry like the rain and feel you all around your body into your soul like the breeze stinging you on a windy day. It takes that person who is willing to dig deep to lift my mask and kiss me, then you will see what it was like to take that oh so small peek.

It never hurts to try if you don't you will always ask yourself "why did I not just leap and take that small peek into those deep eyes of that I seek"

That is my poem that comes to me on this 1st Sunday in November. A word of wisdom to those who may question about doing something they are unsure of. May it be buying a new house, taking a new job offer, talking to a stranger, telling your child a secret, or asking a girl/guy out on a date? Just leap and trust that nothing bad comes from faith from within you it is all a learning experience of life.

If I only had the answers, if I only knew? So now I place nothing into anything, why? It sets you up for disappointments and there is nothing more painful in this world then disappointments, It could be within yourself or within someone else or a situation. Go with the flow you can float along the stream with your hand in the water and see where you land but if you do not stroke the waves to shift your float you will only land where the waves take you. Sure, fate has a plan but you also have to try at something in your life or you end up nowhere the river you're floating on never ends and you will never land on the sandy beaches with the sun set on your skin. Good luck my friends may you all at least stroke the waters and manipulate your path knowing you are not in full control but you have some say in how you float!

and life advice

the most wanted answer to the largest unanswered question!!

So I was thinking!!! Nothing new there!! LOL…Humans need to be wanted, they are complex creatures of needs that must be met. At your job you work because you are needed and that =Wanted. So you stick it out wake up every day or night whatever time it is and get ready and off to work. Now granted the pay check is nice and extra bonus but if you really think about it you really like feeling wanted, if you did not show up to work things could hit the fan they need you. Even the worst worker is needed they do something for the company until they replace them with someone else. So with your job you place effort into it because you like that relationship you have with your work and soul. It makes you feel good. Some will place little effort into the job and you get out of it what you place into it.

Same thing goes with friendships, relationships and children. We have friends because we need them and they need us in whatever way that is. We call our friends and say "hey" just to get that communication, we satisfy each other's need of wanting someone to need us in whatever little fashion it comes. We hug and love our children because also they need us A LOT and that satisfies the soul so much. When you communicate with your child, hold them and love them your soul jumps inside with happiness because they are one out of the two who can ultimate satisfy the need to be wanted. The other one is your lover/spouse that is in your life. Another adult who is in your life and you care for them and they care for you in how ever large or small that is, this satisfies that need of being wanted. But unfortunately this is the one relationship that takes for granted the necessity of expressing that need many relationships forget to satisfy that need to each other, this is new relationships to very old ones. Why is this? The one most important satisfactions of personal need for both people, Why do we ignore or forget to give? This behavior causes distance between the two, this is the feeling of "lack of love" that divorcees proclaim. Maybe if they just gave some attention, a phone call just to check in, a "text message", and a card of "just thinking about you" something that reaches out when not expected. That little tiny piece is effort and when the two participate in this effort they are satisfying the need to feel wanted in that relationship.

So why this Blog well I was thinking, I hear many people say they do not "need" to feel wanted in a relationship they don't "need" a relationship. But it is the "need" they don't realize what that means because everyone needs to feel "needed" in work, play, love, friendships, LIFE. You may get this feeling from your gold fish, dog, cat, computer chat room, work place, children, car, motorcycle….I think you get the picture.

Humans are made to Love and we are made to share this love and meet each other's "needs & feelings of being wanted". So I tell you this, please keep in mind all the interactions you have, or start with someone. Think about what you fulfilled in them what "need" was meet by you and them with that interaction and do not discredit this "need" you fulfill. If you realize how your interactions affect others life, mood and happiness you may find your true purpose for life on this EARTH. Ahhhh the most wanted answer to the largest unanswered question!!

Don't forget to return your friends call or text message, hug your child and tell your lover/spouse your thinking of them or care and need them also! Take a chance and speak up tell someone your interested in that you want to explore the options and date! All that could happen is they say no and then you will know the answer and not question "what if". Fill the need of want!

Love, Live and be Loved!!

I hunt for the colors to paint how i feel for you.
I don't feel that mere words that will ever do
I am merely a grafter, with no talent to speak.
Chasing my feelings to say it is you that truly I seek.

I crave to know what loving you is like tonite
From the taste of your kiss to holding you tight
To watch the stars with you, cradled deep in my arms
Like castle walls, protected and safe from harm

I never thought I'd find a treasure like you.
And those fantasies, somehow you make them come true
Dreaming of you is so damn easy, I do it every day.
But missing you is the heartache, that never goes away.

How could I describe how I feel about our love
Of how our flight together is graceful as a dove
Or our lifes' puzzle has finally appeared
And how i know that you are my future, all is clear.

How do I explain that my heart calls only to you
dare I say that since we havent met that it can be true
How do two people find each from across distant seas
All I can ask is that you wait for me, please.

quick, somebody shut it off !

Donít be jealous or sad when my words do not appear
Know that they are on the way to you, just as sure
As the sun rose this morning, the wind is cold in winter
The moon is full monthly and the waters care for fish
Never doubt to you my love, my tender care, my hope
You are to me the song that floats from a holiday choir
The warm tea to cure my ails, the blanket to chase chills
Our love is the uniform to a soldier, with medals a glitter
To us is a future that could never break, that fire never melt
Our hearts will find flight to each other as we are now apart
But in our dreams, I am with you always, say but my name
And I will come to you; whisper only yours, as in magic
I love you, there are a million ways to say it,
none as beautiful As YOU. Ya tebya koxau. (I love you devotedly)

We have waited a life time, love stood tardy from us
Our hearts were lonely, melancholy, distraught, yet surviving
Day by day, we walled our hope behind castle gate
Guarded against the void, the empty pitfalls of lack.
But suddenly, and is always by the design, the storm must end
Ours is the rainbow, rare, brief to appear, magical to chase
We will live in that color, let the rest of the world have dreary rain
Let them have the grey cold, the sleet, and even the snow
This is our chance, this is our dance, this is our life,
Come to me at the end of showers, let us be happy.

I feel like Brad Pitt at the end of 7 , aaawww whats in the box, i dont want to know whats in the box, awwwww what is in the box

ok, someone needs an intervention
a blowie and a sammich STAT

You stand before me, dressed as a maiden girl of folk lore
Gown modest yet elegant, delicate, intricate, sacred and honored
In my hand is the bow, our knot, the memory minder for our heart
To your eyes I fall like into ocean, so deep, so soothing, ever inviting
To you I pledge my heart, my hope, all that is my spirit, all in this world
From you I join to our magic, our home, our family, our happiness
From this day forward, let all know, that there is no other
There could never be another, so dear, so free, so cherished
What miracle brought me here I do not know, but from here
There is no doubt, for to you I am your husband, to me you are my wife.

There was a time when the empty feelings
that hung over endless days had no name
An uncertain lack and longing goaded me
I knew something was missing from my life
Continuous nights, I stared at the ceiling
chasing the spectre that haunted my mind
and when I caught it, I found it was you.

I inflicted a prison upon myself daily
I walled my self away, contrived safety
lulled into a false sense of security
Until
------That feeling that hit me again
One of whimsical pain, that torments me
baiting me to trust, teasing a life
Stiff columns of soldiers guarding my past
Each day a new recruit fell into line
I marked the growing ranks as months ran
I thought I had locked that door
---------------------------------Foolish Heart.

I awoke from my dreams, your faint perfume haunted me
The delicate floral notes played a bouquet, a totem to you
How did you sneak to my bed? Break though the doors?
Skipped on the moonbeam? Chased a star's light to me?
Swept in by the winter wind, leaving by morning frost
The taste of your strawberry kiss still traced on my lips
Breathless in a room full of air, hunting your shadow
How did you leave? How did you ever invade my heart so?

this was not supposed to happen, stupid heart.

I havent written in decades. I cant apparently shut it off. The last time I was this ass over teakettle; well it was another russian , red head, trouble as usual.

I steal time to write you a note, just a few lines to attempt
To say that the rain here is nothing to me, with out you
That the news was boring, that the food is dull
That all of the songs on the radio, remind me of you
I want you like no other, I have long hidden from this temptation
And in the twilight, I see the first star, it holds my wish for you
Now the snow is gone and we are one day closer to our spring
There will be no lonely sunsets, no empty tables, no cold baths
There will be only you, and for you ; me - and a court of cherry trees

Note to self, do not stay up late drinking and watching the Wizard of Oz

Dream my love " Lying together Bear and I '
From the north city of emeralds to the home of brides
A golden path before us, tied us in passion and desire
Curses launched from a witch could not separate us
Dropped to us a little house, munchkins quickly appear
No storm of cyclones could stall our journey
No false charade of magic, nothing great and powerful
Simply me before you, pledging all that I am

I am sure in the pure sense of 'poetry' my english teacher would challenge them all. they are however the way they happen in my head ... well mostly, two of those were translated from Russian into english (the russian has a better meter to it )

I do still have all the ouchy emo stuff, the vile venomous stuff that is indeed the other side of sappy, full of bad imagery and quaint contrived symbolism that country songs and booze will inspire. I hope I never get back to that point, but there is that nagging paranoia

more pics and drivel as it happens.

bikes have always been a great barometer of relationsips for me.
If she dont ride her own, she should want to ride on the back of mine, barring that she should never interfere or disparage me for riding when I do, or how long I do.

You like the bike more than me....... yep, are you packed yet ?

Horses on the Square, Galloping to nowhere
Chasing each other in circle, led by little Kalenbka
I trap you to a velvet cushion as we spin out of control
The dragon behind us breathes fire and danger
On this winter nite of Marching Soldiers and dancing Mice
There is to us plans of a little house and an open garden
Of little ones chirping like birds, of kisses never ending
But first there is spinning, the arena, this ring, my promise
To us all seems to be cast in steel, suddenly from fate
A Bcegda eewche tati tatienka moya malenbkaya, tbi moya

this was in russian origianally , the rhythme is much better there, and that last line is pure jiberish in eglish, but in russian it is the perfect capper.

Burning coal embers, charred, sparkling with life
Dark as the night, as subtle as cinnamon, cast a spell
How did you ensnare me so easily? How? foolish heart!
What delicate chaos have I stumbled? Fall to your eyes.
May the devil take my soul, as suredly you stole my heart
Our spark ignited, drove an inferno, pray this pyre last
My spirit cast to flames for eternity, cursed fiery eyes
To you I have surrendered all; damn triumphant blaze
From here, Hell is without those caramel jewels
From first glance, you have enslaved and captured

Ot pervovo zglada, Oha zBazHaula moy nodalbwe
here the heart is not in the english because it is redundant, but in russian, heart is feminine ..... if you make it take a neuter ending, it is a forlorn hear without pasion, which is the form I used in the first instance, and in the second it is femine heart, because it has life. A heart is never masculine.
oddly anything that is dangerous, or alive is feminine. the linguists were on to something
the devil imagery is quite common in Russian culture, and indeed it is the Devil at the cross roads kind of thing, get thee to the devil is an often good morning after a weekend bender.

I am just going to continue to post them here, I cant get them out of my head until I write them, Its some sort of damn compulson, probably borderline ADHD.

I am the water of wet rain, the cold of snow, iced heart
You are the fire of hot sun, the heat of summer, blazing soul
How could we ever agree to meet, surely never on the street
'shush my dear , be quiet and take a seat, Sit, for us is tea'
And the furnace of the camovar gurgled, chugged a struggle
Atop was the delicate kettle, there was a discourse, there was a song
There was a Shum and a hum for our boil, and so now it is all clear
To us the rest of the world we do not care, I am water, you are fire
For us now is our octpbi u gopachee chai, chainichka moya
(spicy hot) (temperature hot) (Little tea pot)

the old Russian Samovar is a coal fired small boiler furnace, there is a stove pipe in it, that you put coal, and fill the water around the vessle as in a double boiler. it makes a hell of a noise, on top of it, is a tea kettle tht is also filled with water, the top kettle is used as a more decorative service for tea and chai, the barrel of the chest is used to service a strong coffee usually turkish. They aer a very prized possession and an original coal fired one will go for thousands, antiques more still, I have one coming from poland, pics when it arrives. it is however electric.

the russian military version of it is much dirtier

It starts of with the formal form of Bbi and asks the girl to lie down with him to sleep
she says no
he moves to informal Tbi and asks her to share a bed
she says no
He moves to informal tbi and tells her he is going to teach her to be a lady
she gives in
He leaves come spring never to return

usually it is an adlib over several glasses of vodka and be the end of the nite
Kalenka is Katoysha (the name of the 50 ruble mark and the cost of a cheap whore)

and of course the lesbians love Kalenka too ;)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeHIs...eature=related

Its more sad in the original, like lolita is sad for Nabokov; it is the same transformation

i know , i know, get a room already !

I died a thousand deaths when I first Bgladul tebya
Desired to hold you close, to join only you
Some force captivated me, teased and tempted my heart
I lost my mind, I simply fell right out into a stupor
I did not think, it all seems natural, as ordained
I know that the hunt is over, all remain's a trophy
Now that we are together, I die a thousand more

play linguistically, the french call an orgasm the thousand little deaths
Bgladul is to glance at with a fleeting look, and with a bit of disbelief like you have seen a ghost or a UFO !
The join is not so much to be with you as.... to be with you ;)
Going crazy in Russian is literally to fall out of or to stumble out of your right mind very common imagery in folk lit and of course drinking songs.
And the russian word for remains has more of a gorey double untendre of what is left after a slaughter, and that what is left on the floor from a sucessuful grain deal; in any case it is more descriptive than the english implies, though you could stretch the double meaning in english too; its just not as grotesque.

Should have known when I met you, should've seen the stare
Should have recognized the peril, should've seen the glare
Like a jungle cat choosing her next prey, my heart on your list
Trouble for my future, and yet I stayed, her next target; fixed.
Setting her sights, ranging the distance, closing the gap, to attack
Stalking, dangerous, the hunt and the chase; no turning back
Running, beating, accelerated and fast my pulse raced, thumped my chest
Captivating, charming, graceful, spell binding, dangerous tigress

I chased my hope of a happily ever after to foreign lands
Flew past 7 gates, 3 seas and 40 mountains to seek my love
Ten slices of the time, half a day minus 2, from me to you
There were ctolbko del for me to do to travel to your side
None of them mattered, except the season, which I could not change
For me the only thing that was important; my girl of 1000 faces
Half a million garajdine v gopode , but she is my only one
Countless hours thinking of her, she is my star, I am her sun.

Based on Russian fairy tale iconography. All of the stories happen in a land far away, and the standard is 7gates, 3 seas & 40 mountains, in russian it has a tongue twisty rhytme to it that must be fun for little kids to listen to.
ctolbko del is literally a hundred things to be done, but it is also culturally 'phew - too many f8cking things!'
1000 faces, we skype but there is no sound, so I read many of her emotions across her face before she types them. I am getting pretty good at it ;)
garajdine is native folk people, it is again fairy tale stable when talking about the Russian people. v gopode into the township not really our version of a city, more like Louisiana with their parishes.

To us was a storm, a bustle, and a tustle
a clap of thunder and rushses of wind, torrents of rain
Lightning flashed and in a second all changed
Power was lost, vision failed, and there was only us
Caught by fright, this could be an emergency
Forged in desire, it is indeed our romance
Fear not the showers, gusts, sleet nor hail
Come as they might, and come as they will
Let us gather the candles and set a fire to light
Put the kettle to boil, come to our hearth
Let's watch the show as fireworks; in awe not fright.

weeeeeee what a roller coaster, our first corkscrew
languange differences, age differences, gender differences, distance, and time, and of course a nasty bit of fatique on my part; all lead to a bit of misunderstanding. And in reality, last night there was a hell of a storm, the weather guys totally missed it coming !

if you were watching the other thread about significant others... and things not to say.... yes, dont say her friend is cute. !
Dobraya - a good girl, a type that is up standing and you would want to know
Ydobraya - a hot girl, the type that you would want to know in a definitely more carnal sense.
You would be wise not to muddle the two !
I knew not to use kpacavitza, (sexy) xoposhinka (hot) molodunka (dirty lilttle lolita) ebinka (a taste little f*ck) or lybanka (lovely)
luckily I got to play the stupid american that doesnt know russian so well
(it has been 20 years since I studied it, and 5 since I used in with the military)

Show me love, donít treat my heart like a criminal
Now that my ctpacte has had furlough, donít lock to solitary
Where is our freedom? Together! Let us ignore all warnings
Quick to me, cross the forest, over the mountains, past the ocean
And they will say that we're insane, crazed, lost our right minds
And they will warn that all is too fast, hasty, rushed and anxious
And thanks to fate and spirit; we could care less, cem cem staluBuy

ctpacte - lust/passion/hedonist desire
cem cem it is the noise that russians say a kiss sounds like
stalabuy - the command form of kiss me, but in this tense it implies that you should have already been doing it (past passive participle imperitive)

What is this love? how do I describe it? how to explain!?
I cant find the words to say what is in my heart,
I don’t have the voice to sing the music to that song
I just dont have the equation to solve our riddle, logic befuddled
There must be some sense to it all, but when I look it is all
Wild- abandon, madness; surely I have lost my mind
"shhhh, you cannot taste the wind but you know its gusts,
You can drown in the ocean and never have a drop to drink,
You can fall to earth on your knees to a foreign mother land
You leap into the fire with me and never get burned in the inferno,
Do not question what our love is, Ask how you lived without it."

changed it a bit, the mother land, father land thing is more apparent in Russia. sailors and warriors would many times upon returning home, drop to their knees and kiss the ground of their home land. to welcome a foreign land as your home, is indeed and ostrization of the ilk of drowning in the ocean without a drop to drink
it has more of a peril dropped through out it now, funny, it worked in russian, in english it just stumbled. I hope that fixed it.

Are you going to sleep, are dreaming to me ?
Aнгел моя девогка милая маленькая еще
(Angel my sweet girl still so young )
Here it is Morning, я далеко, Here there is Mourning
(I am far away)
сем сем целоваю сем сем целовай
(kiss kiss, I kiss to you; kiss, kiss, kiss to me )

The clock has stuck zero and the nite to a close
(midnite there is 2 pm here) half minus - 2
Run to bed my little one, dressed in pajama robe
Come to me in theater, see us on stage, dream of us,
Now sleep away to sleep away you must
сем сем целоваю сем сем целовай

Now is the winter and it is sadness
But dream my little one, моя женя, уже ясно весно
(my little bride, it is already a clear spring)
B cady, cherry trees are in bloom, all to us is new
Be not sad, He zlo, imagine us already
(malicious angry)
сем сем целоваю сем сем целовай

Its a lullaby play off of Brother John, Are you Sleeping. I tried to keep the syllables the same meter, couldnt do it in either language, so I had to combine them.

My hidden obsession, selfish and greedy; possession
Don’t torture me, confuse me, or oppress my desire
The distance is torment enough, a vulgar cruel joke
So far removed, I am like a savage, a foreigner to my heart
All my dreams over the horizon, locked to your mother land
Once upon a time our liquid sunsets were together
Warm winds off the coast, our spirits the same of one whole
Now our lost history only rumors, shadows, intrigue

The Ukrainians believe that each heart was once whole, and that an agry fate/god/force separated them and put one half over seas in a land far away. The reuniting of the two halves is as close to what we would call a 'soul' mate here, but there the hearts will always instantly and strongly recognize each other, even to the dismay of their owners, so there is also some wary and disbelief to it. 'A foriegner to recognize my heart as his own' very iconic imagery; it is how the originals of Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty were, it was always a visiting or foreign prince.

well it is officially a month ! what a ride, I feel the roller coaster car is still clacking up to its full height before the droop....
I hope its been entertaining, I know it has been surprising for me. I havent written in near 20 years, and like before, I cant shut it off.

Whispers and warnings about a love I thought I had lost
A sheltered heart like a craft in dry dock, under repair
Stilts and girding keep my hull from the sea, land locked
Trapped in the harbor, a true prison for a sailor, captured slave
Adventure always lies over the horizon, past the sunset
Fortune was always on foreign shores, never native lands
Like the old conquistador battling windmills, this is worthless
Time to set to sail, find the wind, charge the water, chase the dream
Safety for a boat-lies in the harbor, it is where I never want to be.

To home, I trudged in the darkness, cold, driving wind against me
There was the dream of a future, that I had mapped out, planned
Now is the time for hope, time for a miracle, time to shatter reality
To forget the world that my life had fenced around me, leashed heart
To chance, to risk, to flight, an urgent love for which I must fight
Now with our dawn, there is a new song to sing, our fairytale
There is the light to our home, all that I crave, Haw Domuk

Haw Domuk ( our little dacha cabin, used for vacations,... and trysts, it is the original what happens in the dacha stays in the dacha ;) )

pictures of the house that I am looking at over in the other thread.

Today was the perfect day for a mood; tedious, dull and grey
Indeed the Eeyore felt at home to sit and bemoan his lost piece of tail
He had thought he had pinned it to himself, tied it tight, locked it down
But alas, he was without and was forlorn, for years since, and
Tomorrow did not look good either for a speedy recovery, thoughts groaned.
Owl had told him that ' Love is a many curious thingÖ it befuddles logic'
And so it had seemed, Robin was of no help, he had yet to see the Danger
So with the bounciest tiger around, his days were spent on new attacks
There was the little one, the one that always seemed eager to belay problems
Always so determined, always so hopeful, forever timid, but still secure
'maybe if you dream it hard enough, it were to come true' I believe in you.
And there was the bear, for him Love was easy, a tummy full of honey
' you should quit looking, enjoy the honey, and when you arenít looking
You will see, that with friends, a full belly, and honey, the past is over'

How do you know its love? Well you are standing in it, arent you ?
yes, Milne will forgive me, all the characters are from the 100 acre wood.
They are fitting sometimes.

I have waited a lifetime to ride this carnival attraction
Finally, after years on hold and in line, it is my turn
I jump into the seat and it is with you, a foreign stanger to me
We said our hellos, we made polite conversation, neither of us ready
The clack of the bar, locked to together, tied to the seat
Our car lurched and started grinding up that steep climb
Clickitty, clackitty, bumpity, screech, wheels on timbers reel
Our anticipation, excitement, our skin goose pockelled with tension
And still up we rode, nervous, hedging fear, calling for calm
There was the pinnacle, the point where there was no more chain
No more control, no more sanity, only acceleration, exileration
Aayooooossssshhhh my gut had dropped from me, my heart in my stomach
Taking the plunge, sliding and pinned to each other, clickitty clack
Careening down the drop spun into a winding twisting churning screw
Bodies thrown together, colliding in speed, noise, haste and fury
Grinding and leaning, diving and turning, circling tighter clickity clack
Time stopped, speed smeared, the rush of the wind, adrenaline
Twist and grind lurching together with the ride, throttled wide open
Screaming from the heart, shouting at the top of my lungs
This is the one we have waited all our lives for, you by my side.

YouTube - viper-roller coaster tycoon3

it is indeed the full roller coaster ride

White swan glides over glassy wet window, draped silk
Beads of salty water cling to your ivory back
My reflection undulates beneath you, rippled
You dip your neck, nipping and biting at below
Stretching and puffing your breast, you writhe and flail
Thrusting your tail to a stacato at the mirrored shadow
Quickening your pace, to raise to a flight, beating harder
Your flurry and rage snap to a calm, riding peaked crests
Your passion tethered, guiding you to another furious launch

I suppose when I get to our first anniversary I will have them penned, printed and bound

I trace the features of your photo, trying to discern your mystery
Like the cartographer making nations, laying waste to empires
As the prospector chasing a rumored vein of gold, a forgotten claim
Fall into your eyes like dark sifting sand mires, quick and entrapping
The map to your heart from the path of your smile, curve of your lips
High points of your full cheeks, the crinkle to your bunny nose
Cascading caramel curls, flowing like a brook of shimmering root beer
On the surface, there is simply no explanation to it, no indication
Of the wealth that lies beneath, the capricious heart that was hidden
And the shaft of mine, the treasure of yours, and the well spring fountain
What Cortez never discovered in Florida, I found in you, napodeniya moya

napodeniya moya (motherland of hers, claimed as mine by the possesive modifier)

Look to my eyes, say nothing, let your heart be calm, rest your mind
Let peace calm your moods, take my hand and glide into restless battle
Do not let the worry, fear or anger creep to your spirit, trust your love to me
I need you to know the world I lay to your feet, the mountains I lay low
The clouds that I would wrestle, the thunder that I would bottle, the snow
That I would present to you, as a blanket to cover our strife, warm our life
On this winter night, cold and dark, celebrate our glittering holiday parade
Charmed are we to have found each other, Damn any attempts to separate
Let the King mouse have his crown; you, my Ballerina, have found your Soldier

A robbery of some of the imagery of the Nutcracker and the tale of the sugar Plum Fairies and King Mouse

Alone among lovers, I saw the sun rise, a new day
Ice crystalled dew reflected like shimmering jewels
The ocean was calm, draped in hues of orange and pink
Sparkling before me, everything came to life, except me
The huddled whispered words, the quiet good morning kisses
I stand shivering at the cold mourning coming, threatening
I stood on a hill aching for you near, aching for you still
If I could send my love a message, one that she could hold
It would be my heart, because surely without her I don’t need it.

The old retirees and hippees are want to watch the sun rise and sun sets out here in Sequim. Envious, jealous, and a bit of a pervy voyeur apparently.

Say it with love, close your eyes, forget the usual places
Call me by name, dream to us our future, feel the sea float
Drift to me over the mountains, taste the clouds, chase the sun
Ring the bell, echo the chimes from the halls, make the battle cry
Goose fleshed, eyes wide, fists clenched, this is our strife
There is only this moment, hold anticipation, suspend belief
Torture yourself, and try to resist, there is only now our truth
My kiss to your lips, a sealed commitment to our covenant
Should you ever doubt; there is never any other temptation

When this storm ends, will you come to find me in the orchard?
Sit next to me under the cherry trees, confirm our desires?
Are you ready to admit that the time we spent is already a lifetime?
A game that we never played, roulette of the heart, empty chambers
Our chance will deny the risk that we knew before, there are no wagers
Take away the money, let the chips fall where they might, where they will
Today before us is not Morocco, not Monte Carlo, not Vegas
Stare down the twisted face of fate, ignore the odds, damn the casino

Look me over or I'll bore you out

It's true, you have no doubt
Here's an example of what I can do
I can rant and blather run-about
Look me over or I'll bore you out

It was that feeling that hit me again
One of whimsical torment and anguish
Baiting me into trust, goading my hope
Anxiety and rage swarm around me
The rain falls, the wind howls and still
I am unaffected, I fix my eyes to you
I know this storm will disappear, I know
for every shower there is arched prism finale
Let our golden moments focus this laser
we will be together, to the rest be damned
