Ok I am new to this so here I go.....As I am sure you all know that I am newly divorced. I had been with my ex for 11 years married for 7, I can't really say that I was ever in the dating game since he was my first EVERYTHING. So my question, how do you get into the whole dating game? I am not even ready for anything serious, but would like to go out with guys and have fun, so what do I do? Where do I meet people? Any help with this would be great thank you all

Maybe start off with guys AND girls going out. Find out who has similar interests as you. Wine, dancing, art, etc...there are lots of events going on, especially with spring in the air. Leave yourself open to trying new things, and that includes new people. That will help your circle of friends "widen". then just allow things to happen. Don't TRY anything. Allow life to happen, and before ya know it, you will be meeting all sorts of new peeps. And Blu....you can reach out to me anytime I'm a wine gal, and have met some WONDERFUL new women friends. I'm finding that they are way more fullfilling than male relationships haha!

There is something to be said for being out in the world doing something you love to do. You're at ease, smiling, and at your best. For example, I've met TONS of people out at live music shows and through motorcycles.

You might also try online dating. I've met lots of nice women through OKCupid.

And last but not least... find a way to make the Love Boat Shore Leave =).

I think trickier part is to trully asses your motivation. It may sound simple at first, but if you think on it, you may find out, that you're not looking for what you think you're looking for.

Well....you can't really go by my dating experience but I get out to bike nights usually 2 a week, Go dancing twice a week, and out to a club once a week. As you can see I am rarely home. Then there are other things I go to as well that are not regular activities such as the Jazz and wine festible at St. Michelles this last weekend. But I get out about 4-5 nights a week and I have not had any luck in the dating department. I just suggest getting out and doing stuff. I enjoy myself most of the time. But I do get lonely here and there. I have been divorced for 6 years but have only dated 1 guy three times. He wanted me to sell my bike. So I said that's not gonna happen. I am not sure this helped much but just go out and meet people is basically the point.
