Is there a right time to introduce myself?

On a few occasions when I go to college I see this girl i like that I haven't actually met/talked to before. On the occasions I see her she always looks shy and i'm worried that if I talk to her, she might feel embarassed, or she may not have the time to talk... so is there a right time to introduce myself?

Welcome first to the love boat, I would say there's never really a right time to introduce yourself but go for it anyway what's the worst that can happen. Just be friendly and nonpressuring and hope for the best.

Welcome...

You could wait forever for the "right" time, and then not recognize it when it comes. Don't wait too long =).

There is never the 'right' time, there is never the 'perfect' person out there. So take a breath, and just go say hi. The direct approach beats cheesy lines or contrived situations.

Caveat: There is a WRONG time, if you miss your opportunity and they have been discovered by someone else and now off the market,, that is when it is the wrong time. If you see a chance, take it. Its Spring, time for a new romance.

First of all welcome to the love boat...if you haven't figure it out that is what we call this happy little community I applaud you for your instinctive behavior on recognizing someone who may not be so outgoing. That said, you could always start out with a quick short intro..you don't have to exchange life stories in 5 minutes. A friendly 'hi how are you today' would definatly break the ice. You could also elaborate on your next converstation, you know a kind of 'I love your shoes, where did you get them?" scenario. You'll know if you should carry the conversation further by her reaction. Again, welcome. Hope to see you around
