Communication Issues

I'm really restarting to think that this whole relationship shit is too much.

Let me start off by saying, i love the girl to death. She's been the most amazing girlfriend ever, she gets along with my friends, and I love spending time with her and her entire family.

The last couple of days (and weeks) are starting to get a little out of hand. She's become super needy, super clingy, and it's starting to portray signs of my ex. (nothing against her). My gf can't go to bed by herself (which drives me up the wall) and the moment i want to stop snuggling with her she automatically assumes some crazy idea that i don't wanna be with her anymore or that i'm sick of her. Her self esteem in herself is a lot lower then what I had thought it was, and she's constantly looking for acceptance.

She's SUPER pissed off because i've been "neglecting" her the past couple of days. Well, my argument against that is that I got a new macbook the other day and i want to learn how to use this fuckin thing. Yeah, I use it at work, but it's for work and only work. I don't have time to try and use it for personal issues unless i'm on my lunch, but even then, it's only an hour that i'm allotted to mess around with it.

She just called me and bitched me out for the past hour, i'm in shit tons of trouble with my boss now for taking a personal call at work and luckily my boss loves me so when i explained that my gf was being a psycho wench, she said ok, just don't let it happen again.

She's the type of person that if i bring up an issue that upsets me, she'll try and find a way to divert it and make me look/feel like the bad guy, but i just flip it back onto her and bring the topic back on track. She then takes it like i'm attacking her personally and becomes emotional and does the typical girl thing.

WTF do i do?! I don't wanna break up with her, but this is getting the fuck out of hand. I want to resolve the issue before i tell her to fuck off and leave me alone. Halp?

EDIT:
she's also 2-3 days away from starting her period. if that helps.

Well you always have to take the period into consideration with some women. Personally you have to have what I've now called a "gut punching" talk and basically have a no BS and no sugar coating talk with her. Tell her what your bitches/gripes are, what you/she could do to make them go away, and talk about if the relationship is really right for the both of you. Sometimes the answer is not going to be pleasant or it might just make things better, either way it'll take a lot of the stress of worrying about it off your shoulders and you'll be happier in the long run. I've applied this to my relationship and a lot of things were brought to the table that one or the other didn't know and things have smoothed out because of it. Just my .02

and I highly doubt her period is making her this way...sounds like this is a permanent character trait to me...cut and run before your tires are slashed

Um.. Diz.... You believe in warning signs???? Signs don't get much clearer than this. I just don't see how all of this ads up to "the most amazing girlfriend ever". That must make me what???? A goddess? See the light Diz.. if it's ALREADY this way then it's just a sign of things to come.

I wish I would have listened to the warning signs much earlier in my past relationships.

This sounds familiar to me. I'd laugh at how familiar, but it's not funny.

My advice: In the words of King Arthur (at least according to Monty Python), "RUN AWAAAAAAYYYY!!!!!"
