I don't get guys

So.. over the past few months I've casually dated a couple guys.. and pursued a few that turned out to nothing more than friends. And when something doesn't work out.. or isn't progressing into anything, I cut my losses and move on - yet still maintain my friendships with them.

So why is it that everyone crawls back out of the woodwork at the same time?! I don't get it. Is this somehow tied to hunting season??

And of course it always happens right when you start seeing someone too! The last girl I dated before I met my now wife is a perfect example. We were hanging out and thing will developing, then bam this girl I had the hots for for like 10 years showed up at my house (from california) and wanted to hook up, so all three of us went to get some coffee at a local little spot. Then the girl behind the counter who was super hot that I had been hitting on for like 3 months gives me her number and tells me to call her, all in front of the other two....needles to say none of them worked out lol....but it was sure good for my ego!

Well heres my theory.

When you intitally start dating someone *special* exclusively I think you put out a more confident vibe, confidence to me is very attractive, as it is with lots of folks *I hope* therefore you tend to stand out a bit more than those guys mopping around looking like they are beat puppy.

Take it as a compliment. Feel more confident and roll with it! I know it's frustrating, but alas, it's Murphys Law.

I agree with you there about confidence and making you more attractive and sending out a certain vibe.. But these aren't people that I've actually SEEN! Oh well.. I'll just enjoy the feeling of being wanted while it's still around.

They all crawl out of the woodwork cause everyone you are in contact with are on the same cyclic schedule.
Like commute traffic, everyone gets off work at the same time. Or friday evening at Olive Garden, insanity.
Saturday night at Jakes, Talk about skeletons in the closet coming back at ya!
What you have to do is rearrange your mindset so that you are either a step ahead, or behind, and learn to fall between the cracks.
That's where you will meet others that aren't tied to the "hunting season."

This has some validity to it. Summer is over and finding attractive women is no longer shooting fish in a barrel.

Plus I'm not hugely spiritual but I believe in listening to the world around you and I don't think it's a stretch to call it sort of a test you know?

Oh, Sarah.....as hard as I try I will never be able to understand the male species. They are like this specimen that you keep studying thinking that sooner or later they have to make sense and you should be able to understand their mating patterns and behaviors but then......NOTHING!!!!!!

The only theory I have come up with is that it's because guys can't stand the thought of you not wanting them. You see.....it not exactly that they want to have a relationship with you just that they want you to want them. Make sense? So as soon as you cut your losses and move on they start to want you because you are no longer wanting them. Then as soon as you start to like them all over again.....they push you away and start to play at being just friends.

It's what they do......(insert sigh)

It's holiday season, and no one likes to be alone during the holidays...so the constituent of singles is likely to be out prowling around in the recent and coming months.

Then again, no one likes to watch someone put on holiday weight either, so it's a 50/50 flip...if you don't mind watching a guy undo his belt after eating half a turkey...

Either way, compatibility cannot be forced, and can only be faked for so long. Being single is a gift, as is being with someone truly compatible.

Everything in between is like those a carnival game, most people have to play a lot and spend a lot to go home with a goldfish that will most likely die within the week.

But hey sometimes you walk away with a real prize.

It's called the return of Indoor sports.

Did you know that birth rates are generally higher late May through earlier September? You know what that means from October through January right?
