Of course. In my family the women have always done most of the cooking, but it doesn't mean the men can't cook. It definitely gets attention if you can be left alone in the kitchen and come up with something yummy.

Well I've never had that, but I imagine I'd like it! I did have one date where a guy cooked for me. I found it difficult, however, because he wouldn't let me help.

It doesn't have to be anything spectacular.

Hell, even just taking out some spaghetti sauce I made a month ago out of the freezer and thawing it out and plopping it on a pile of pasta will make me happy.

It's just nice to have a break from being the one that cooks all the time.

Baking, on the other hand, that can continue to be left up to me.

Yes.. we do.. and not just single parents.. but also men that have had to live on their own for quite some time.. Being able to take care of theirselves and their homes... definately a plus.

And as a guy who cooks (from what I hear I do so well) I can say WOMEN LOVEZ IT! although some like our sarah here can't seem to sit back enjoy a glass of wine and keep company.

I love to cook, and have been told that I am quite good at it. I'm sure it helps that I spent a few years as a Sous Chef and a line cook. I have always found that it not only impresses the women I have dated but also their mothers. The cool thing at my house now, is that I cook and my wife bakes...it works out great!

I can cook a little.... but I have never had someone who wanted to teach me or a huge need to learn it until more recently. What kicks my butt though is the fact that I'm ADD. I get set on doing something and by the time I remember that I need to eat I'm STARVING so I don't want to spend an hour making something. :(
